Holidays In Bali In August & September

Spending beach holidays in Bali is since years in the top of preferences amongst tourists from many countries, especially vacationers from Australia picking in large number packages to the best resorts settled on this Indonesian island. Located in the tropical region of the planet at about 8 degrees south to Equator, Bali features only two seasons, one wet and one dry, the temperature variations between them being insignificant. The peak holiday season coincides with the driest months - June, July, August and September. Two of the best months to go on vacation in Bali are August and September - the air temperature during the day is about 31 – 32 degrees Celsius (88 – 90 degrees Fahrenheit), while the water temperature is 28 degrees Celsius (74 degrees Fahrenheit), therefore the conditions are just perfect to spend a lot of time outdoors on the gorgeous white- or black-sand beaches which characterize this heavenly looking island.

Along with the excellent weather, holiday makers have also other reasons to pick travel deals to Bali in the interval August - September. In these months take place several great festivals and events such as the Independence Day (in August 17th, with processions, traditional music and dancing throughout the entire country), Nusa Dua Festival (lasting a week from 23 to 29 August, it features numerous events such as traditional drama, singing and dancing, as well as eating specific Balinese dishes), and the Temple Celebrations (with celebrations in the most important Hindu temples in Kuta, Ubud, Sanur, and Denpasar). Of course, along with attending these major festivals, tourists can take tours to the mountain villages in the central part of the island to interacting with the local people, see the impressive volcanic ranges, go in day excursions to visit the many high end beach resorts (most of them settled in the southern end), take scuba diving trips, and many others. The variety of available vacation activities is so large that all travelers find an interesting thing to do and spend both exciting and relaxing moments during their stay on Bali.

In any top tourist spot the high season is the most expensive and Bali isn't exception to this rule. It's true that in August and September all hotels and resort complexes practice the highest rates for rooms and the vacation packages are sold at higher prices, yet the very large number of well rated hotels in Bali sharpens seriously the competition on the local travel scene and therefore many accommodation estates have on sale cost-effective hotel deals, special promotions and discounted room rates for longer stays. Anyway, holidays in Bali in the dry season have a special charm due to the excellent weather conditions and wonderful cultural events and festivals, so a few dollars spent in plus are compensated by the unique moments enjoyed!

This city is renowned worldwide for some of the most beautiful beaches on the planet such as Mindil Beach, Vestey's Beach, Nightcliff Beach, and Casuarina Beach (designed for nudists), unique tourist attractions like the "Indo-Pacific Marine & Australian Pearling Exhibition" (a large aquarium displaying living coral ecosystems and plenty of other exotic marine species associated with coral) or "The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory" (with excellent collections of Aboriginal art), exotic points of interest like "The Darwin Crocodile Farm" (40 kilometers or 25 miles south of the city), and exciting feasts as the "Festival of Darwin" and the "Beer Can Regatta". Diving Expedition In Costa Rica

Scuba diving vacations increased seriously in popularity in the last years because more and more holiday makers enjoyed trips to the most beautiful diving resorts and told to their friends or relatives about the breathtaking moments spent beneath the water's surface. There are also people like marine biologist who dive for scientific reasons - to study and understand the marine creatures' behavior and needs in order to help in surviving of the most endangered species. A such expedition is going to take place soon in Costa Rica, in the waters from around Cocos Island, located in the province of Puntarenas at 350 miles distance to mainland and making up one of the many national parks from this Central American country.

Cocos Island is popular for years amongst scuba divers who spend vacations in Costa Rica for the large populations of Hammerhead sharks, rays, dolphins, sea turtles and other large marine species and therefore the small island is acting like a magnet on holiday makers who want to experience some of the most rewarding diving adventures in the western hemisphere! Because many of the species living in the waters of Pacific Ocean are endangered, in the period of time 24th August - 3rd September 2010 is organized a sea turtle and shark tagging trip by the biologists Randall Arauz (the "2010 Goldman Environmental Prize Winner") and Todd Steiner, who is also the executive director of the "Sea Turtle Restoration Project". During 10 day the participants will try to tag as many green sea turtles and sharks they can, but will have also the opportunity to observe the amazing sea species living on the coral reefs from around the island including over 300 species of tropical fish!

Since a few years more and more people became aware of the fact that the planet is in danger and many ecological systems are going to disappear if aren't taken urgent measures to protect the plants and animals that constitute the trophic chains. For this reason there are many volunteers willing to help specialists and experts in this effort and exactly in this spirit is organized the tagging expedition. It is supported by the experienced and very popular diving company "Undersea Hunter", that runs expeditions to Cocos Island since 1990 and has some of the best divers in Costa Rica. Due to the fact that there are necessary more people for achieving significant results, the biologists who organized the journey are looking for more experienced scuba divers to embark on the "UnderSea Hunter" (a luxury 90-foot live-aboard dive vessel) and take part on this wonderful expedition! People interested in this adventure and spending a diving vacation in Pacific Ocean are invited to contact directly Todd Steiner by sending an email to TSteiner@SeaTurtles.org.
